OSI 發聲明維護 Open Source 定義

Open Source 讓我們今日享用很多好軟件，有賴1998年從Debian Free Software Guideline 定義出 Open Source 這個詞彙，以及 Open Source Initiative (OSI) 透過審批 license 來推動和保護這基本定義。沒有這單一基本定義，任由任何人自行創立定義，就沒有一個信賴的合作群體。

近期有意見聲稱無需單一權威性定義 Open Source，讓小眾的利益凌駕於所有人。如果讓這意見繼續流傳，會損害用家和貢獻者兩方的信任及 Open Source 的創新。開源香港 Open Source Hong Kong (OSHK) 和 OSI 等聲明一同保衛及維護 Open Source 定義及認同 OSI 為這定義的管理機構。
